"One day" surgery procedures
For whom?
One-day surgery procedures are designed for patients with various types of skin lesions and lesions located in the subcutaneous tissue. They most often involve lesions such as moles, warts, lipomas, cysts or other benign soft tissue lesions.
Removal of the lesion is recommended for both aesthetic and prophylactic purposes - especially when the lesion enlarges, causes discomfort or raises diagnostic concerns.
Course of treatment
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and usually lasts from a dozen to several dozen minutes. The surgeon makes a small incision in the skin and removes the lesion along with a piece of surrounding tissue.
The removed material is then submitted for histopathological examination to determine the exact nature of the lesion and confirm the diagnosis.
