Soft tissue ultrasound

For whom?
Soft tissue ultrasound is for patients who have nodules, swelling or other changes in the skin, muscles or subcutaneous tissue. It is particularly helpful in diagnosing lesions of an unknown nature.
The examination makes it possible to determine the structure and size of the lesion, as well as to assess its position in relation to the surrounding tissues.
Course of the study
Ultrasound is performed using an ultrasound head applied to the skin in the area to be examined. The doctor analyzes the image of the tissues on the monitor of the ultrasound machine and evaluates any abnormalities.
The test is painless, safe and usually takes several minutes.
Effects
The examination allows an accurate assessment of soft tissue lesions.
